New Medication

Took James to Dr Vasiloudes in Brandon yesterday.  We really liked him, he seemed very knowledgable and had a friendly staff.  James is starting on methotrexate, prednisone, and folic acid tomorrow.  We also do not have to go to phototherapy any more because the Dr thinks that with the problems in James' knee and possibly hip, the medicine is the best treatment.  We are still continuing the creams though.

Im hopeful that the new medication will work for him!

We have been busy taking orders for the bracelets.  James' friend Noah has been very helpful and is selling lots of bracelets.  My new friends with the SouthEast Florida Scleroderma Foundataion have been selling them also.  I am very greatful to everyone who has supported James and our family!  We will be sending our first donation to the Scleroderma Foundataion in the next few weeks! : )

New Medication

Last night we were able to pick up the Dovonex cream from the pharmacy.  James will start that today.  Now he is using the Dovonex twice a day, the Clobetasol twice a day and going to the Photo Therapy three times a week.  We went to USF on Wednesday and they prescribed the creams and recommended that we go to another doctor to see which oral medications he would suggest.   I have to call him Monday to set up an appointment.

Paracord Bracelets

James is making Paracord Bracelets to raise money for the Scleroderma Foundation.  We talked to someone there a few days ago and they were very happy that James would like to raise awareness and money for the Foundation.  Morphea is very rare and there is really no good cure, research is still being done to try to find out the best course of treatment.  I will post some pictures of the bracelets and if anyone would like to order, please let me know.  James is still making lots of different colors, but the ones we have available now are red/white/green, desert camo, woodland camo and red/white/blue.  The red/white/green and red/white/blue are $5.00 each and are about 3/4 of an inch wide.  The two camo are $8.00 and are a little over an inch wide.  If anyone is interested in ordering, please let me know either by commenting or by email, smalley91@gmail.com

Thank You!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, we had a wonderful time with friends and family.

Today James started using his Clobetasol propionate cream for his morphea.  We will see how this works, he is supossed to start using Dovonex also, but the pharmacy had to order it, so he will start it tomorrow or Saturday.
