Its been a while since we posted, time has been flying by. We are looking into going to a specialist for Scleroderma that is at University of Florida. James has been going to physical therapy for about 6 weeks, trying to regain some motion in his knee and hip. He is still taking his medications. These pictures are from a few hours ago.

Dr appt
James had a doctors appt on Wednesday, he is doing a little better. The doctor lowered his Predisone dosage again. Thats great news because the Prednisone was causing a little weight gain, acne, and high blood pressure.
We have an appt with the physical therapist on Thursday next week to see about helping the movement in James' leg and knee.
We are happy with the progress!

Friday Fest
We are going to be creating awareness for Scleroderma at Friday Fest this week in Bartow, FL.
We are excited about be able to tell people about Scleroderma and Morphea. James and I have made about 100 bracelets to bring to sell and will also be bringing our brochures, etc. We also made some new items, Keychains, Zipper Pulls, and some Lanyards. I will post pictures later.

Progress!
James had a doctors appointment last week, he has made some progress with his leg. The skin is beginning to get softer on his lower leg, and some of the hair is starting to grow back. We are happy with this progress so far, he has only been on the oral medicaiton for two months.
He is also doing some stretching, etc for his leg to try to increase the mobility.

Sorry that there have been no updates this week. We have had a flu/cold around our house. Thankfully James has not been sick, we all stayed away from him. I dont want him to get this with his immune system already low.
He is still doing good with his medicines and still working at his judo. We are proud of him!

Nausea getting better
The nausea that James was experiencing has been getting better, only happens every once in a while now.
He has been having increased trouble in his knee, but is working through it and not letting it affect him much.

Judo
James started going back to judo last night, he wasnt going to go because he was feeling nauseated. But he was glad he did. We took a break during the holidays. James was also feeling a little upset about the movement restrictions in his knee and hip, but he did a great job last night! Judo is good exercise for him and he loves it.

Increased Medicine
the dr increased the methotrexate James takes to 8 pills every week. So far he has been doing ok, not a whole lot of nausea yet. Also found out that after 6 months or so, James will have to have a liver biopsy to make sure his liver is not being affected by the medicine.
